I have been a professional designer, writer, trainer and educationalist for almost Fifty years. I was originally employed as a designer and creative art director of several large, international blue chip companies.

In 1986 I established my own consultancy, (PS5) which is now an internationally recognised specialist security consultancy, providing training and educational material to the law enforcement, defence and the security sectors. The company’s training wing ‘R.E.A.C.T’ delivers highly specialised training protocols to both the private and public sectors with specific focus on weapons related crime and personal protection from violence, aggressive behaviour and terrorism.

In order to carry out certain aspects of my company’s highly sensitive work I hold a Home Office Authority approved by the Secretary of State under ‘Section 5’. I have held this authority since 1993.

I have also been an adviser to the US Department of Defence for the TSWG Mission for combating Terrorism.

I am considered an authority in close-quarter personal protection, and internationally recognised as a trainer in modern combat systems as well as traditional martial arts, with over 50 years experience. I created the R.E.A.C.T System of Confrontation Management and Personal Safety, and over many years have educated many hundreds of people around the world in methods of self-protection.

I am an acknowledged world authority on disguised, improvised and clandestine weapons, methods of attack and weapons concealment, and the author of the ‘Manual of Prohibited and Concealable Weapons’, which is in service with law enforcement agencies, government departments and security professionals in over sixty countries.

I have been a prolific writer and my R.E.A.C.T books, editorial features and ‘The R.E.A.C.T Survival Files’ and editorial features are studied and utilized by security professionals all over the world. I also write and publish my own specialist journal PCW Review, which is totally focused on information dedicated to helping protect the citizens of the world.

I now spend my time as a professional designer, writer and lecturer. I deliver training and give talks to government agencies, universities and corporate bodies on officer and public safety issues, with specific focus on weapons awareness and personal protection from violent attack.

My goal is to help protective services companies succeed in establishing and strengthening their brands on social media platforms. I am here as your guide to make that happen. What Makes Me Tick Since 1997 I have been designing and developing websites. Back then I was editing html pages with Netscape Navigator. What makes me tick to this day is the creation process. Taking a blank screen and turning into a powerful brand with a voice.

Background With a strong background and in-depth expertise, I help protective services companies leverage social media to effectively market their brand, services, and products to the right markets. My experience includes eight years with a major financial institution as a Web developer and intranet manager, where I was responsible for web development, programming, website design, brand awareness, and logo development. Over the last several years I have designed WordPress websites and created and managed social media strategies and campaigns for several protection services companies.

Today, I am responsible for two of the most successful companies in the security business as well as president of the International Security Driver Association. I have conducted seminars at major security conferences, and has spoken at executive protection training programs. I have written many articles covering all aspects of the protection business and social media. My perspectives on the importance of effective social-media use can be seen, heard, and read on various websites, trade journals, and social media networks. I hold an associate’s degree in criminal justice from Northeastern University and graduated, magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from John Jay College. Professional Memberships ASIS, International Security Driver Association.
