Author Guidelines

Articles submitted to the PSC can be on any topic relevant to security professionals.

While we are liberal about the length of articles, you should keep it under 3,000 words.

We prefer articles that contain relevant and practical explanations of problem solving, practices, tactics, methods, systems, procedures, etc.; information that other security professionals can learn from and apply. Rants and mindless essays won’t get posted, so save your time.

If you submit an article there are several things you must provide us:

1. You must affirm that you are the author and have not used any copyrighted material. Yes, even in the Internet age, copyright laws still apply and are enforced.

2. You must grant to the PSC permission to publish your article on the PSC website. You will retain the copyright; you are just giving us permission to post it (publish).

3. You must provide us with your contact information, including your name, mailing address, email address, and telephone number.

At present, we are not able to publish photos and illustrations. We hope to be able to do that in the future.

As we said above about copyright laws, slander and libel laws are also still in effect and prosecuted so be very careful. We will help you be careful.

We reserve the sole right to accept or decline for publishing anything that we deem inappropriate or unacceptable. We also reserve the right to edit for grammar, spelling, and length. If we have other editorial suggestions, we will contact you for your approval of our suggested changes before we publish your article.

All articles submitted will be reviewed before being published.

If you still want to do it, we are anxious to receive your submission.

Send it via email to:
info@protectivesecuritycouncil.com

We will notify you when your article is published.

We look forward to reading your article.
